Lutheran Bible Translators (LBT) is an independent Lutheran mission organization dedicated to helping bring people to faith in Jesus Christ.
They strive to do this through their missionaries and staff, who work to make the Word of God available to those who do not yet have it in the language of their hearts.
They have been advancing this mission since 1964.
The St. Louis-based Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, founded in 1847, has 2.5 million baptized members in 6,150 congregations served by more than 9,000 pastors. The church, which ranks as one of the 10 largest Christian denominations in the United States, owns and operates two seminaries, 10 universities, and the largest Protestant parochial school system in America. It supports more than 650 missionaries in some 85 countries around the globe and is a founding partner of Lutheran Services in America, one of the country’s largest social-service organizations.
The members of the South Wisconsin District are Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregations and ministries, pastors, teachers, and other professional workers located within the southern half of the state of Wisconsin.
Today, LCMS World Mission trains, sends, and supports called and appointed career, long-term, and short-time missionaries throughout the United States and in various countries around the world where there are mission stations, partner churches, schools, or mission relationships.
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
